Enchanted Christmas have ecological decorations



Part of the Enchanted Christmas ornaments of Caldas wells are being produced by groups of women who decided to increase income by making crafts from recycled materials. They participate in groups created with support of the City and other institutions.



The cooperative produces FloArt ornaments leftover EVA (ethyl vinyl acetate), a kind of rubber, donated by the company Piffer. Cook up some 20 cooperative flower balls, garlands and other decorations for shops and other businesses, and City Hall. The FlorArt works for two and a half years at the Center Villas Nations and has the support of the Municipal Economic Development and Labour.
In partnership with PUC Minas, there is a workshop ecoestrelas made ​​of PET, which has been operating for three years, set up a booth on the campus of the university. The project has the participation of four women, who are producing two thousand stars to the city.

"In addition to providing income to women, as these projects have an important environmental role because they provide another destination to materials such as PET and EVA," says Cybele Benjamin, Secretary of Economic Development.

Ecobags
There is also a workshop ecobags, recently established a partnership between the Enchanted Christmas and City Council of Women. Eight women produce bags made ​​from PET, printed with images of the city's sights. In all, three thousand are being made ​​ecobags, which will be distributed free on the Craft Fair and Square of the Apes also in the municipal market.
