Londrina will host the Craft Design

For the first time London receives an event geared to the business of craft design, hosting debates, bringing the main exhibitors and attracting highly qualified audience. The Symposium and Exhibition of Crafts and Design I Design International Crafts Fair will be held on the premises of the London Country Club, with the opening on May 31, at 14h. It is the industry's premier event and is sponsored by the Sebrae.
The promotion is from Artest, nonprofit organization based in London, with the goal of providing technical training and entrepreneurial artisans to market products with a strong Brazilian identity. In addition, Artest offers logistics product marketing, prospecting new markets for Brazilian handicraft.
"The intention is to hold a special event focusing on craft design. They are value-added products, suited to market demand both domestically and internationally, noting trends, thus creating a product cosmopolitan, but with a strong identity, "explains Denise Mucci, organizer of the event.
The event will bring together artisans, micro and small business owners across the country, who will have the opportunity to get in touch with buyers and distributors nationally and internationally, including representatives of major art galleries, museums, concept stores, boutiques and design stores world. "The expectation is to bring about 80 exhibitors from all over Brazil. We have already confirmed craftsmen of Pernambuco, Bahia, Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Parana and Santa Catarina, "says Denise.
The Artest participates in international fairs each year since 2005 and has experienced increasing demand for domestic products of interest. "Buyers have been interested in knowing the products and artisans in loco." The world market already has events that are reference in design and decoration as the Maison & Object (Paris, France), Environment (Frankfurt, Germany) and Tendence Fair (Frankfurt, Germany). "Our intention is to enter the annual calendar of events in the city, in order to bring international buyers interested in learning and acquiring goods to Brazil concept built into the product."
Symposium
Composes the event schedule, the Craft Design Symposium, an opportunity to spread the knowledge of practices, techniques and methods for marketing crafts design. The Symposium will fulfill an important role in promoting development of commercial standards for artisans and for small businesses to design the craft industry.
There will be lectures, containing the following major topics: techniques and innovative materials for use in handicrafts, models of community management of craftsmen (reported cases); prospects of industrial innovation applied to micro and small enterprises, tourism and handicrafts as an inducer of craft as an inducer of tourism.
Already confirmed the National Coordinator of Portfolio Projects Craft Sebrae, Mauritius Tedeschi, who will talk about "Craft, Market and Competitiveness", Carlos Ganem, National Coordinator of FINEP, with lecture on Design and the FINEP Innovation Award designed to recognize and promote innovative efforts of companies, nonprofit institutions and inventors Brazilians, the researcher Eudaldo Oliveira lecture on "Industry All Began Crafts / Innovation", and Silvia Barrios, the Grupo Argentino del Color, which will teach lecture Series on Graphics, image transfer, photo ceramics and printing methods on the ceramic, glass and porcelain.
